Mangozookids have the answers you need about Face Painting!

For Face Painting, we do like to spend at least 5 minutes with each child. It all depends upon the complexity of the design. For younger children we would do simpler designs as they do not like to sit still for too long. So realistically you would need to book 1 hour to paint 10 children and 2 hours for 20 children and so on. Glitter Tattoos are less intricate and so we are able to apply 15 – 20 of those in 1 hour.

Yes. You can book both of these services but we would advice that for instanceyou booked 2 hours of Face Painting and 1 Hour of Glitter Tattoos.

Depending on the size of your event we will advice you on how many

Face Painters you will need and supply you with the required amount

We can provide customised themed packages to fit your event,

E.g. princesses, Fairies, Butterflies, Zoo Animals, Super Heroes

or Monsters. We would Face Paint each child within the chosen

theme and you could also add on other services such as Sparkling Temporary Tattoo’s or a Craft table which would also fit the chosen

theme.

What we charge per hour will depend on a number of things e.g. the number of Face Painters required for your event, if there is a theme to the event, the location, the time and date of the event and the numbers of people attending and what service you are booking.

Yes. A 50% deposit will be needed along with a signed booking form. This secures your day. Don't worry, we will fully refund your deposit if you cancel within 15 days of the date you reserved. Beyond that the deposit is non-refundable.

We have special rates and Packages for Registered Charities; please call us for more information.

We can Face paint anyone from the age of 3 – 99. It is not recommended for children under 2 years old to have their face painted, however we will kindly offer a small design on the hand or arm to younger children.

Due to sanitary reasons, anyone, who in our opinion appears to be suffering from a cold sore, conjunctivitis or any other infectious skin complaint, cold / flu virus or heyfever, cannot be painted. Similarly, eczema, open cuts and grazes are not suitable surfaces to paint. However, a design on the cheek, hand or arm is perfectly possible. In addition we reserve the right to refuse to paint anyone who is abusive, violent or intoxicated.

MangoZooKidz Supplies include FDA approved professional Face Paints such as Snazaroo. The glitters we use are manufactured especially for application on the skin and contain no metals which could potentially scratch the eyes. The Face paint is not harmful unless a person is allergic to the colouring (e.g. red dye or blue dye). Professional face paint has a consistency similar to women's face makeup. The Face Paints are made with a special anti-microbial formula which prevents the spread of germs. Our Paint brushes and sponges are always cleaned and disinfected before each event.

Face paint is formulated for easy removal with a mild soap and water. Baby wipes are also a way to remove the paint but is not always the best. Wipes are made for little bottoms and some brands can cause a reaction on facial skin. Some darker colours will leave a temporary tinge on the skin but don’t worry it will fade in a day or so. Should the paint get on clothes, use a stain pre-treater along with regular soap powder.

If looked after properly and not in an area of high friction – under cuffs, on the hands etc – Temporary Glitter Tattoos are waterproof and can last up to a week, so you can still swim and shower while admiring your Tattoo. The Tattoos can also be easily removed at any time with baby oil or surgical spirit, meaning your tattoo can last as long as you want it to. For this reason using oil or alcohol based creams and lotions will mean your Glitter Tattoo wears off sooner.
